More than any other reason, I love this prickly pear margarita recipe because it’s so easy. No syrups to hunt down, no overpriced infused vodkas to buy, no clunky juicing machines needed. The only special ingredient you need here is a peeled prickly pear. I bought mine at the local grocery store – lots of well-stocked places will carry them with the skin removed and cut into chunks when the fruit is in season. Buy these and turn them into one of the best margaritas of the season! For a larger serving you can easily double the recipe. Yum…

I am obsessed with this drink! So so so so good and super quick to make – definitely a contender for best margarita ever. Make sure you strain with a julep strainer if you have one – this way you can keep out any blackberry seeds and any lingering lavender buds!

I love sage..it’s so different than any other herb out there! A little bit mossy and earthy in a soft & subtle way. The citrus juices in this margarita really brighten up the flavor of the sage in the best way. I think its great for rainy spring and summer days where you have that warmth of the fruit and the savoriness of the herb.

Have you ever had a blood orange? They’re so pretty and delicious, they definitely make my list of top flavors for cocktails. Lucky for us, the fruit has become widely available in specialty markets, along with bottled juice. I found the brand Noble at my local grocery store and was completely satisfied with its freshness – make sure to pick some up if you find it!

This is the perfect margarita for winter! The cranberry lends tartness, while the Creole Shrubb melds flavors of nutmeg, cloves & burnt orange, and the sweet vanilla balances it all out. You can blend it with a cup of ice for a frozen version or keep it on the rocks if the 18-degree weather outside is enough to keep you sufficiently cool :)
