You didn’t think I’d leave you stranded without a cocktail for this cardamom simple syrup, did you?!

I love cardamom – it’s gingery, spicy, and very reminiscent of one of my favorite non-alcoholic drinks ever…the chai tea latte. I used to make them every morning during my senior year of college (back when I had time to make drinks like that every AM!) One time I made this amazing cherry chai spiced pie – I still dream about it. This my easy, glammed up version of it, just minus the calories and with the addition of some serious booze! The mint brightens it up just in time for necessary summertime sipping.

Kumquat Mojito

December 30, 2011

in Other Cocktails

Grab some kumquats while you still can and make this sweet and sour mojito…it’s simply the best! Like a summer/winter mashup of flavor. I also love how these are so easy to prepare for a crowd. Just muddle a bunch of kumquats with mint, pour into a pitcher and stir in the other ingredients. When serving, add ice to the glass to chill the drink as you pour.
